The tile work is being finished up and the home is moving along again.

Snow Day

All of the schools in the county are CANCELED today due to the rare snow storm that came to Southern Utah last night. The home is barely accessible if you have 4 wheel drive and are also able to walk through snow at some spots - chest high!

The home is painted, the wood floor is installed, cabinets are in, the rock is about done, the road was put in (just in the nick of time) and the tile work is in process.

This week - very little can be done due to the snow.

Drywall has begun!

The framing has been completed and passed all inspections and insulation has been installed and the drywall is being hung!

6-Way Inspection

Tomorrow the County Inspector will inspect the completed Rough Framing, Rough Electrical, Rough Plumbing, Rough Mechanical, Rough Gas and Exterior Sheer.

Home Progress!

The framing and the electrical are close to being completed. Today the retaining wall footings for the coutyard or being poured.

Windows & HVAC

The windows are being installed and the Heat & Air is also underway.

Framing Update...

The trusses have been rolled and mounted and roof sheeting has been laid and the framing is still in progress.

Trusses

The trusses are built and will be delivered to the job site tomorrow.

Interior Framing Progress

The framing for the interior walls of the home are underway - the ICF walls are about 80% done.

Slab Poured

The slab for the home has been poured and the garage is scheduled to be poured tomorrow. The power is now ACTIVE.

Radient Floor Installation

The plumber is finishing up the radient floor heating piping today. The floor insulation is complete and we sealed the cracks and piping with expansive foam as an added measure of efficiency. The floor is scheduled to be poured tomorrow.

Flooring Insulation

The flooring insulation is being installed and the floor is getting ready to be poured.

Drain System

The drain lines system is completed and runs around the entire house that has uprights to capture all of the water.

Power Progress

The 500 ft. ditch for the electricity has been filled and a temperary power pole is being mounted next to the transformer. After Rocky Mountain Power inspects the pole set - the power should be activated to the temperary power pole.

ICF & Plumbing Progress

Additional ICF block layers are being installed and the window and door areas are being formed. Plumbers are doing the underground work.

ICF Walls

The NUDURA ICF walls are being layed. It is currently 3 layer high. Today the County Inspector will inspect for compliance prior to pouring in the concrete that is scheduled for tomorrow.

Footings are poured

All footings have had the concrete poured and are prepped for the ICF NUDURA blocks to be set.

Wall Completed!

The retaining wall in the section that needed a correction has been completed. The General Contractor met with the Soils Engineer prior to the Excavators immobilization of equipment on-site and all parties have approved the revised section.

Footings Inspection

The footings have been dug and the rebar has been placed and the County Inspector will verify the compliance tomorrow.

Footing Prep

The footings are lined out and are being dug and prepped.

Finishing Excavation

The excavation company will be finished with the site preperation tomorrow (Friday) - and we have arranged to have the home pad re-staked tomorrow as well and we will be digging the footings on Tuesday after we lay out the home.

Visit

The owners of this green home are in town today and met with the Builder and his Wife at the lot and later went to the design center to talk over selection options with the interior designer. It was nice to be able to finally meet them and put a face to the voices.

Approved!

Today we pulled the permit for the casita portion of the house after having had to receive special approval from the county for what they considered as a separate living unit.

Dirt Work Progress Update

The excavators are making good progress on the site work. They are working on raising the pad to the correct elevations and should be done with that in the next week. The pad should be ready to dig footings in two weeks.
